LEGACY MOTOR CLUB™, in association with Jimmie Johnson, has officially joined the Extreme E racing series for Season 4. The inclusion of the American team completes the lineup for the 2024 campaign, which kicks off this weekend in Saudi Arabia (February 17-18).

The team, led by the seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Jimmie Johnson, will make its Extreme E debut with an all-American lineup and impressive off-road racing experience. However, due to a date clash with the Daytona 500, Johnson will not participate in the first two rounds of the season at the inaugural event. Instead, American compatriots Travis Pastrana and Gray Leadbetter will take the wheel of the LEGACY M.C. ODYSSEY 21 at the upcoming Desert X Prix.

Jimmie Johnson, co-owner of LEGACY M.C., shared his excitement: "The opportunity for LEGACY M.C. to participate with an off-road vehicle in the Extreme E championship is exciting in many ways. We are essentially representing America in this unique and highly competitive series. I'm eager to see our LEGACY MOTOR CLUB colors compete on foreign soil while I'm in Daytona. I trust Travis and Gray will represent us excellently and I'm eager to see what they will achieve."

Johnson also expressed his interest in the sustainable focus of the championship, as well as the technical transition to hydrogen planned for 2025, highlighting that this is attracting the attention of the entire motorsport community.

Gray Leadbetter, 19 years old from Morganton, NC, brings an impressive record, being the first woman to win a US Pro Class Championship and the youngest competitor to win a Sportsman SXS race. Travis Pastrana, from Annapolis, MD, is a legend in the world of motorsports, with a diverse and successful history in motocross, rally, and other disciplines.
