March 3, 2024 will be etched in the memories of motorsport fans, as they witnessed a historic event at the Aquiles Speedway Park: the first Trucks México Series race on dirt. In this setting, Rubén García Jr., four-time NASCAR Mexico champion, secured the victory with an impressive performance.

The day began with the qualifying session on Saturday, where Rodrigo Maggio claimed the "Pole Position", thus leading the grid made up of 18 trucks. The start of the race saw an exciting duel among several contenders, with Rubén García Jr. showing his experience at the head of the pack in his number 88 truck. Despite some lead changes, García proved his expertise by maintaining the lead.

However, track conditions became a critical factor as the laps progressed. The dry terrain reduced visibility and created high risk for the drivers, leading to a race neutralization to moisten the track and allow teams to clean the windshields of the trucks before resuming the competition.

In the battle for third place, "Keko" Pérez and Andrea Lozano were involved in an intense confrontation, from which the Chihuahua driver emerged at a disadvantage, opening the opportunity for Enrique Baca to position himself in pursuit of a podium finish, but he also didn't fare well in the fight with Lozano.

A phenomenon observed during the race restarts was noteworthy, where most drivers opted for the inside line at the cone selection, except for those with previous experience on this surface, who preferred the outside line, thus showing the influence of knowledge in these types of competitions.

Moments of contact and surprises continued until the end of the race, with Nico Rivas taking advantage of an on-track duel to secure third position, while Rubén García Jr. crossed the finish line in first place, thus achieving a victory that will be etched in the annals of Trucks México Series.

The podium was completed with Rodrigo Maggio in second place and Nico Rivas in third, closely followed by Andrea Lozano, Enrique Baca, Santiago Cruz, Mateo Girón, "Keko" Pérez, Everardo Fonseca, and Rafael Maggio, who made up the Top-10 in this thrilling day.

As the curtain falls on the first page of the Trucks México Series season, with the debut competition at the Aquiles Speedway Park, the stage is set for what promises to be a season full of action.
