Gus Greensmith began his WRC2 campaign at the Safari Rally Kenya, winning the WRC2 category. He achieved a lead of 1 minute and 23.1 seconds in his Škoda Fabia RS Rally2.

Despite facing health problems during the first stage on Friday on the gravel roads near Lake Naivasha, Greensmith gained a considerable lead. Oliver Solberg, his main rival, lost valuable time due to tire issues.

Solberg finished in second place after winning 11 of the 19 stages. However, he could not close the gap with Greensmith, who maintained a steady performance until the end, securing sixth place in the overall classification.

Solberg recorded the fastest time in the Wolf Power Stage, which helped him lead the championship. He also received the FORUM8 WRC2 Award for Most Stage Wins. Behind him, Kajetan Kajetanowicz, in another Fabia, finished third and won in the WRC2 Challenger category.

Nicolas Ciamin and Charles Munster, both Safari debutants driving Hyundai i20 N Rally2 cars, placed fourth and fifth. They were followed by Daniel Chwist, and Carl Tundo, who triumphed in the WRC Masters Cup. Hamza Anwar, as the sole competitor in WRC3, took all the points in that category.
