The third stage of the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal 2024, marked as the longest of the event, took the drivers from Grândola to Badajoz in Spain. In the car category, Nasser Al Attiyah stood out once again, strengthening his first position in the overall standings. Guerlain Chicherit, from Overdrive Racing, faced the need to retire from the race, affecting his position in the championship. On the other hand, Yazeed Al Rajhi made a costly mistake, losing valuable 20 minutes.

In the Challenger category, Rokas Baciuska from Can-Am Factory claimed victory and now leads the classification, with Ricardo Porem climbing to second place and Nicolas Cavigliasso from Taurus Factory by Wevers in third position.

In the SSV category, Yasir Seaidan from MMP had to retire from the special stage, costing him his lead position in the race. Ricardo Ramilo took advantage of this situation to move up to first position, closely followed by Rebecca Busi and Claude Fournier.

During the stage, Yazeed Al Rajhi experienced a challenging moment as he rolled his vehicle, causing him to lose significant time. Lucas Moraes from Toyota Gazoo Racing faced his own challenges with a puncture, losing time in the classification. Joao Ferreira from X-raid Mini JCW achieved a third place in the stage, while Carlos Sainz, also from X-raid Mini JCW, struggled as he lost parts of his vehicle.

In the overall classification, Al Attiyah maintains the lead, with Ferreira and Moraes closely following him. Sainz, despite his setbacks, is in a good position to continue competing for the lead.

The next stage will take the competitors from Badajoz back to Grândola, followed by the fifth stage concluding in Grândola. These stages will be crucial in determining the final leaders in each category.
