The open test of the Indianapolis 500 was interrupted and prematurely ended due to rain in the Indianapolis area. The cancellation affected the second day of events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. On the first day, Wednesday, tests for rookies and refresher laps for veterans were successfully completed, as well as test sessions for experienced drivers. In total, 34 drivers completed 1,327 laps in sessions with adjusted schedules anticipating bad weather.

Teams will return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday, May 10, for practice and qualifying before the Sonsio Grand Prix, which will take place on Saturday, May 11, at the IMS road circuit. Practices for the 108th edition of the Indianapolis 500 are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 14, with the race planned for Sunday, May 26.

The next event of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will be the Acura Grand Prix in Long Beach, on Sunday, April 21, in the Streets of Long Beach. Coverage will start at 3 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on USA Network and Peacock. The INDYCAR Radio Network will also provide coverage through the INDYCAR App powered by NTT DATA and on SiriusXM channel 218.
