With this victory, Busch ties Todd Bodine's record for most wins at this track and collects his fourth consecutive win in truck competitions he has raced here.
Busch highlighted the intense competition throughout the race, likening it to another occasion where he had to come from 15th position with just two laps remaining to win. "Corey Heim really kept us on our toes," Busch said. "He tried to pass me in the final laps, but I managed to keep enough distance to win."
Heim, driver of the TRICON Garage Toyota number 11, achieved his seventh consecutive top-10 of the season, making this the second closest finish recorded at this track.
The race was characterized by its high competitiveness, especially among the front-runners, with Christian Eckes and Nick Sanchez alternating at the front alongside Heim, all challenging Busch at various points of the night. In the championship standings after this race, Eckes sits in first place, edging out Heim by two points. Majeski, who entered as the championship leader, now sits in third place, 12 points behind the leader.
The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series will take a break before its next race, the Heart of America 200 at Kansas Speedway, scheduled for May 4.
