Sergio "Checo" Pérez, Red Bull Racing driver, has unveiled a special helmet that he will wear during the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, showcasing a unique design that pays homage to Latin America.
This helmet features two standout modifications that set it apart from Pérez's previous designs with Red Bull. Firstly, the lateral colors mimic the skin of a crocodile, extending across the sides, front, and back of the helmet. Secondly, instead of displaying the Mexican flag on the top, as usual, the flags of Latin American nations are now exhibited alongside the message "Viva Latin America!".
A notable addition is the inclusion of the United States flag, a gesture that acknowledges the large Latin American community present in this country, particularly in the state of Florida, where the race will take place.
This initiative by Pérez adds to other design changes in the world of Formula 1. For example, Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will also modify their helmets and uniforms with blue accents, commemorating the 70 years since the Italian brand's arrival on American soil.
