Sebastien Ogier wrote a new chapter in the history of the Rally of Portugal by becoming the first driver to achieve six victories in this event. His latest win positions him as the most successful driver in the 56-year history of the rally, surpassing the record previously shared with the legendary Markku Alén.

In an event that saw leadership changes among five different drivers, Ogier took the lead on Saturday, a day defined by tough competition and adversities for his rivals. His Toyota teammate, Kalle Rovanperä, lost the lead after an accident, and Toyota's Takamoto Katsuta also retired, leaving the path clear for Ogier and his Yaris to face the final challenge on Sunday.

Ogier started the final day of the rally with an 11.9-second lead over Ott Tänak of Hyundai, skillfully managing the pressure to stay ahead and secure the victory by a margin of 7.9 seconds. The iconic Fafe jump bore witness to his ability to close the competition in decisive style.
