How Did NASCAR Mexico Drivers Cope with the Intense Monterrey Heat?

Xavi Razo won the fourth round of NASCAR Mexico in Monterrey, Nuevo León. The high temperatures forced special measures to ensure driver safety. In a pre-race meeting, Jimmy Morales, Series Director, and Pavel Fernández, Race Director, decided to implement two 10-minute hydration breaks to avoid potential heat strokes. Morales commented that although he was once a driver, he now has to think as an executive and prioritize safety.

Additionally, cooling the fuel was allowed to prevent problems caused by gasification due to the extreme heat. The race was held based on time and not laps, with only one green, white, and checkered flag.

Razo led most of the race, although he briefly lost the position to Rubén García Jr. and Irwin Vences. "This is my second consecutive victory, and I am aiming for the overall championship and the regular season championship. I thank the organization for the safety measures," said Razo. Santiago Tovar finished in second place, regretting not having achieved his first victory, while Rubén García Jr. took third place, emphasizing the importance of scoring points.

Jorge de la Parra Wins in NASCAR Challenge

Jorge de la Parra won the NASCAR Challenge category in Monterrey, surpassing Giancarlo Vecchi and Víctor Barrales Jr. De la Parra commented that he was exhausted but happy with the result, hoping this would be the start of a good streak.

Vecchi mentioned that traffic affected his performance, but he was satisfied with the result, focusing on entering the playoffs in the next round in Aguascalientes. Barrales, for his part, was calm about his performance, highlighting the importance of continuing to score points to advance in the standings.
