Arrow McLaren has signed a multi-year contract with Nolan Siegel, who will compete for the remainder of the 2024 IndyCar season. Siegel, 19, will start his participation with the team this weekend at Laguna Seca, driving the No. 6 Chevrolet.

Siegel, a California native, recently won the LMP2 category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with United Autosports, a team owned by McLaren CEO Zak Brown. He will replace Théo Pourchaire, the Formula 2 champion, who was hired last month to drive the remainder of the 2024 season, except for the Indianapolis 500.

Gavin Ward, Arrow McLaren's team principal, emphasized the importance of this move. "Stability and sustained growth are key to our long-term plan, and this is an important step in that mission," Ward said. "We want to thank Théo for his time with us. Now, with Nolan available, we have the opportunity to build a solid foundation for the future. He is a young driver with a lot of experience, and we are excited to embark on this journey together."

The team has confirmed that Siegel will drive in the remaining 10 races of this season, as well as in 2025 and beyond. To join Arrow McLaren, Siegel will leave his campaign in Indy NXT with HMD Motorsports, where he was fourth in the championship standings.

Siegel's career includes LMP2 victories in IMSA with CrowdStrike Racing in 2023, triumphing at the 6 Hours of The Glen and Petit Le Mans. He also won in the Asian Le Mans Series with Inter Europol Competition.

2023 has been a year full of opportunities for Siegel, who debuted in the IndyCar Series in a non-points exhibition at The Thermal Club with Dale Coyne Racing in March. He participated in Long Beach, finishing in 20th place, and although he did not qualify for the Indianapolis 500, he showed determination. At Road America, he withdrew from the Indy NXT race to substitute for Agustin Canapino at Juncos Hollinger Racing.

"I am looking forward to joining the Arrow McLaren team this week and confirming my place in the IndyCar Series," said Siegel, who was named Indy NXT Rookie of the Year in 2023. "This is an unexpected jump, but I am thrilled to be in this position after a rewarding stint in Indy NXT with HMD Motorsports. I am excited about this new stage and learning alongside the team starting this weekend in my home state."

With Siegel's addition, Arrow McLaren aims to consolidate its driver lineup and continue its development in the IndyCar Series, betting on young talent with a proven track record in various motorsport categories.
