Sebastien Ogier, eight-time world rally champion, and his co-driver Vincent Landais were discharged from the hospital after an accident during the reconnaissance of the Rally of Poland. Ogier will be replaced by Kalle Rovanpera for the seventh round of the championship.

On Tuesday morning, Ogier and Landais were conducting the stage reconnaissance when they collided with another vehicle. The occupants of the other car and two pedestrians were taken to the hospital for medical checks, but no serious injuries were reported.

Landais was discharged the same day of the accident, while Ogier remained under observation for one more night. On Wednesday, Ogier was discharged. On his social media, Ogier thanked his followers for their messages of support and confirmed that he and the other individuals involved were fine.

Toyota decided to replace Ogier and Landais with Kalle Rovanpera and Jonne Halttunen, who will take the third GR Yaris Rally1 this weekend. FIA stewards approved the substitution, allowing the new pair to conduct the stage reconnaissance.

In a message posted on his social media, Ogier commented on the accident and his health status: "Vincent and I had a collision during the reconnaissance at Rally Poland. I spent the night in the hospital, but I already feel much better. Fortunately, medical checks showed no serious injuries for anyone. Unfortunately, we won't be able to participate in this rally, but the important thing is that everyone is safe. Thank you for the support messages. Now I'm going back home to rest and recover. Good luck to Kalle Rovanpera, Jonne Halttunen, and the entire Toyota team."
