In the 62nd edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona, Porsche Penske Motorsport clinched victory, marking a notable moment in motorsport history. This triumph represents Porsche's twentieth victory in this event and a triumphant return for Penske, who had not tasted victory at Daytona since 1969.

The race was defined in a thrilling duel. A key moment was when Blomqvist overtook Nasr in a risky and spectacular maneuver. However, tension mounted when Nasr reported a significant vibration in his vehicle, a challenge that could have changed the course of the race. Despite this, Nasr maintained composure and regained the lead.

The finale was an exciting countdown. With just minutes on the clock, Blomqvist pressed, but Nasr held his position, navigating skillfully among the slower competitors. Porsche's victory was by a mere margin of 2.112 seconds.
Frijns' second place marked his return to the podium after an absence of two seasons. Rowland, in third place, achieved his first top-three position in a long time.

Further back in the race, the Wayne Taylor Racing team with Andretti, driving an Acura ARX-06, secured third place. Despite electrical issues affecting their sibling car.

In the LMP2 class, Era Motorsport took the victory after intense battles. Christian Rasmussen, with a stellar performance in the final stages, led his team to a well-deserved triumph.
In the GTD category, the competition was equally fierce. The Risi Competizione team with their Ferrari 296 prevailed in an intense fight, while in the pro-am category, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Winward Racing demonstrated its dominance during the night hours.
Cassidy's victory took him to an 18-point lead in the World Drivers' Championship, while Jaguar TCS Racing leads in the team standings. The next race of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will be in Sao Paulo on March 16th.
