IMSA SportsCar Championship has released its calendar for 2025. This announcement, made by John Doonan, president of IMSA, anticipates an exciting and meticulously planned season under the GTP regulations.
The 11-race calendar remains, highlighting the inclusion of five long-duration events that make up the Endurance Cup. This announcement, made just after one race of the current season, reflects IMSA's commitment to its followers, giving them the opportunity to plan in advance to fully experience the 2025 season.
The action kicks off with the iconic 24 Hours of Daytona, from January 25 to 26. Then, the series heads to Sebring for a challenging 12-hour enduro on March 15, where all four classes of the championship will compete.
April and May will see races at Long Beach and Laguna Seca, with formats of 100 minutes and two hours and 40 minutes, respectively. The GTP and GTD classes will be the stars in these two rounds.
The urban circuit of Detroit will host another intense 100-minute battle on May 31. The series then moves to Watkins Glen for a tough six-hour showdown on June 29, bringing together all classes in competition.
July will mark the series' only visit to Canada, focusing on the LMP2, GTD Pro, and GTD classes in Mosport on July 13. Road America will welcome all classes on August 3, followed by an exclusive GT race at Virginia International Raceway on August 24.
Indianapolis will remain a crucial stop towards the end of the season, with a six-hour race on September 21. The season will culminate with the 10-hour Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on October 11.
