Peugeot has unveiled the updated version of its 9X8 for the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season, which will make its debut at the 6 Hours of Imola.

The team has conducted extensive testing, accumulating valuable track experience. Adapting to the 2024 regulations has been a key focus, particularly in tire configuration, which now differs in size between the front (29 cm) and rear (34 cm). This adaptation leverages the opportunities provided by the updated rules to enhance performance.

The aerodynamics of the PEUGEOT 9X8 have been substantially redesigned. Approximately 90% of the bodywork has been modified, including the addition of a new rear wing and adjustments to the center of gravity and aerodynamic load distribution. These changes, noted by Olivier Jansonnie, Technical Director of Peugeot Sport, aim to optimize vehicle performance and reliability while maintaining the same chassis.

In terms of aesthetics, the collaboration between Peugeot Design and Peugeot Sport has resulted in a distinctive and representative livery. Matthias Hossann, Design Director of the PEUGEOT brand, highlights the use of the lion, the brand's symbol, in various scales and colors. This design aims to reflect the unity and collective strength of the team, extending also to the range of merchandise products.

The 2023 version of the PEUGEOT 9X8 already demonstrated great performance, including a podium finish at Monza and a prominent presence at Le Mans. The experience gained in these competitions has been crucial for the development of the 2024 version. The team aims to solidify its position as a leader in its class, with improvements promising to enhance both on-track performance and the fan experience.
